Predator Marketing System
A Sound Approach From The Point of Inception
Back in early September, amongst the whirlwind of (then) rumors and negative press swirling around PAS, I became a member the Predator Marketing System (or "Predator", for short). As stated in previous issues, you'll find several similarities to PAS, at least on the surface. But one thing has become clear as I read the corporate updates ... there is a lot less hype and a lot more "meat" to this opportunity, at least from my perspective.
The founder, Al Turnquist, takes a refreshing "no-nonsense" approach to the business. His straightforward approach to communicating with the membership is not something I am used to seeing, but something that I welcome with open arms.
A Product Is Offered, Front and Center
Below is the latest corportate update from Al Turnquist, dated October 2, 2006:
Predators, By now most of you have heard about the SEC lawsuit against PAS. I want to say this. I am not happy about what's happening to PAS and I sincerely hope they are able to address the issues the SEC has concerns with and continue providing service to their members. Anytime something like this happens it reflects badly on the entire industry. In addition I was looking forward to a healthy competition with PAS, I fully expected PAS would see our model and improve theirs. Finally, any and all promotions are done. We are no longer overing PAS members any promos. If you hear anything about promos you can assume they are rumors and thats all. With that said lets move on to some exciting enhancements you can look forward to over the next 2 weeks. 1st. I am adding a new page to your Predator sites. This page will feature our courses as seperate products that can be purchased through your site. Make Money or Make Excuses has been on the market now for close to 3 years with an excellent reputation and it makes sense to continue selling it as a stand alone product.. Adding our courses to your sites as additonal products adds to the value of Predator and provides additonal income streams to you. I will announce pricing and profits in the next few days. 2nd. We are extending our closing support to Predator site owners. We will offer clsoing for your primary businesses in addition to closing your system sales. We will also be providing you with additonal ways to market the portfolio section of your Predator site. Predators primary mission is to help you market your businesses and we will be putting a lot of energy into helping you accomplish that. When prospects are interested in one of your businesses I will have seperate closers on the company payroll to make those calls for you. This new program will enhance the value of Predator as a complete marketing system. You do the marketing and delegate the closing. In additon Predator owners will have a definite advantage over other reps with your portfolio companies As always these enhancements cost you nothing. Next, The TV ads prospects, closing support for your other businesses and additonal products to sell require time, money and energy from the company. If we have to spend huge amounts of time handling calls from people who lose their username and password, that will interfere with providing more enhancements. So, here's the deal. You get 1 call for a lost username and password. After that we will charge $25 for the next call.. Support is spending way to much time on lost usernames and passwords. Most of our older students and mentors will tell you that MOM/Predator will go the distance to provide good value for any training system or resource we release. But MOM came into existence to teach people how to be leaders in business. Leaders use their resources and keep track of their important business data. Al
I personally like Al's approach, on several fronts. First, he understands the importance of providing a product, not only to those who are already Predator members, but he understands the importance of offering a product (a time-proven one no-less) to non-members alike. This should bode well in fending off any "interest" from the SEC (at least that's my take on it).
Second, Al states that MOM was all about teaching people how to be leaders in business. In other words, don't expect to come on board with Predator, purchase leads, and sit on your hands waiting for the money to start flowing. He's basically stating that this system requires that you take responsibility for your business, and that the education and training is available for those who wish to treat their business as just that ... a business. I like the message he is sending. Very refreshing.
It's still very early "in the game" to make a recommendation either way on Predator. So I will simply abstain from doing so as of yet. I think it would be wise to perform some more due dilligence prior to assigning either a thumbs-up or thumbs-down rating. It's simply too early to tell. For now, as I had done with PAS in the early stages, all I can do is report what I witness from my own personal vantage point.
