ITV Ventures (continued)ITV Dominator Addressed Directly By ITV Ventures Corporate Office
As you are aware (via the previous issue), I had dropped everything I was doing several weeks back to develop what has now become the ITV Dominator. The ITV Dominator is a viral marketing system that I personally developed in an effort to add even more avenues for IBO's to utilize for their marketing efforts.
Nearly immediately following the completion and release of the ITV Dominator, ITV Ventures issued a major revision to their policies and procedures. In this document, they specify (in great detail) the do's/don'ts and can's/cannot's when it comes to marketing ITV Ventures via the internet. I won't go into the details of the policy, but what was interesting (and, to be quite honest, very refreshing) is that I just received an email directly from the corporate office stating that one of the marketing tools offered via the ITV Dominator was not in compliance with these new policies. In fact, here's an excerpt from that email:
Dear Mr. Kelly, We came across your website and it is very impressive. We do need you to complete and submit a Marketing Request Form, which can be found in your back office below the Policies and Procedures. In the near future we will also require you to register your domain name with us in your back office. We will notify you when this is in place. Please remove the Voice Broadcasting tool "(name removed)" from your site because this goes against the Policies and Procedures. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Why do I find this refreshing? Why instead didn't I jump up and down and scream in defiance? Because, as a former company owner myself, I can completely understand and sympathize with them in their desire to exhibit due diligence in the arena of keeping the potential for misrepresentation at bay.
In other words, they have defined a set of rules that are designed (in my opinion) not to constrain IBOs in their marketing efforts, but to protect the company itself (and thus, each IBOs respective business) by instilling certain safeguards to help ensure that those who represent the company (the IBOs) maintain a high level of integrity, and by minimizing the risks associated with certain advertising venues of misrepresenting the company in any way.
