This Blew Me Away!
First, if I may, a quick recap of yesterday:
It was time to dive in and check it out from the inside. I bit the bullet and watched their 6-minute video one more time. But this time, I filled out the questionnaire at the end of the movie, knowing that I'd most likely be contacted by some slick-tongued hard-sell artist. Oh well, I've dealt with them before, so there was really no reason to hesitate. So, I did it.
What Happened After That Blew Me Away!
What happened you ask? I'll reveal this and more tomorrow. |
Okay, so what happened? As mentioned above, I filled out a very short questionnaire and hit the submit button. Two of the things they asked for were my phone number and the best time for them to call me.

I've been here before ... a company wishing to show you their opportunity asks you for your contact information, you then ponder what time is best for them to call you (at lunch, after work, on the way home in the car via your cell phone, etc.). After careful consideration, you decide that you wish to be contacted @ 5:30pm, while in the midst of your commute home from work.
You enter the time (and time zone) and then hit the submit key. A short while later, you are in a meeting with your boss and peers. Your cell phone rings (it's 2:30pm) ... guess who!? Yup, it's a rep from the biz op calling. How annoying!!! Why do they ask you for the best time to contact you when they have absolutely no intention of honoring it!?!?
What happens next? Well, besides the embarrassment of receiving a call during a meeting, along with the fact that you are now upset that your carefully chosen "best time to call" was not honored, you find the quickest way to tell them you aren't interested and hang up, never to consider their opportunity again. As a result, you could have missed out on the opportunity of the century (but you'll never know until it's later featured on prime time television).
